Crew News: Member Cap Raised to 1,000

We’ve got some great news especially for the large Social Club Crews out there who’ve long since hit the historic member cap ceiling of 300. We’ve now more than tripled the maximum member cap for all user-made Crews to allow for up to 1,000 people in your ranks. So with the ability to seriously swell your Crew roster head count, it’s time for some heavy-duty rallying and recruiting and we’ll certainly be on the lookout to see who truly grows their army or consolidates forces amongst affiliate Crews. Be sure to use your Crew's profile page feed and in-game messaging features this weekend to set up a few lobbies to meet, greet, audition or orient your new Crew mates (remember that in GTA Online. you earn 10% more RP for Jobs completed with a Crew member). And with join requests likely to come raining down heavy and fast, Crew Leaders and Commissioners should make sure your Crew Hierarchy is in order to help deal with the new recruits.  With Crew headcount now reaching four figures, it's also a perfect time to get familiar with the recently released Crew Head to Head Playlist challenge feature. To initiate a Crew Head to Head, you'll need to create a Playlist that does not contain Vehicle Deathmatches, Survivals or any Jobs that require more than 2 teams. Head to My Playlists in the Online menus and you will see the option to start a "Head to Head (BETA)" by clicking the right stick on your game controller. From the lobby screen you can go ahead and invite other players from your own Crew, Friend's Crew or from Skill Matched Crews. You'll need to have some cash in your wallet to set the wager - the minimum is $1000 - but the ultimate Crew bragging rights are worth much more. We're also taking the occasion of this new Crew update to kick off the first Grand Theft Auto Online Crew vs Crew battle live stream this Friday February 7th at 2pm ET broadcasting from our official Twitch and YouTube channels. Tune in then to see us pit two bloodthirsty Crews against each other over the course of a curated Playlist of Rockstar Verified and Rockstar Created Jobs. Note that one Rockstar dev player will join each side to play in order to facilitate streaming and to keep things fair. We've already reached out to a few of the toughest Crews around (we'll be confirming the first matchup sometime this week) and will be contacting others soon. If you would like to be considered for the live stream battles, please get in touch with us at crewchallenges@rockstargames.com telling us your Crew name, a link to your Crew profile page, the specific platform you would like to stream on and a reason why you should feature on the stream. We may also show preference in selecting your Crew if you have a video that showcases your ability at competitive game modes - and if there's a specific Crew with whom you have beef you'd like to settle in a public arena - so definitely let us know via email. If we like what we see, we will get back in touch to find out your availability and to try and coordinate an upcoming battle. If you aren't picked, then stay out there and keep on truckin'. We're always on the lookout for Crews that are representing hard. (Although please note that anyone spamming the email or the comments section will automatically be disqualified from consideration!)As always, for notifications of when our stream goes live, hit the subscribe and follow buttons on our YouTube, Twitch and Twitter channels and keep an eye out here at the Rockstar Newswire for Crew Cut recaps of the battles and announcements of upcoming skirmishes.

The Crew Noticeboard is our featured column of Crews actively seeking members to join their ranks where we publish your recruitment pitches in your own words. This week, the Noticeboard features some Content Creator obsessed master builders, RPM addicted and stunt focused drivers, and a Crew of oddballs who are looking to include all of greater Los Santos in their shenanigans. Many of these guys are really going for the gusto in their recruiting with dedicated official websites, impressive YouTube video demo reels and more. Member of a Crew that's looking for new recruits? Drop a link in the comments below (but only once – those who copy and paste spam the same recruitment message more than one time at the Newswire may not be featured) for all to see or hit us up at mouthoff@rockstargames.com and let us know why your Crew deserves recognition for originality, skill or effort... we may publish your want-ad in a future Noticeboard here at the Rockstar Newswire.Crew Leader CalebSC, founder of the Creators Core Club, has pulled together an army of 200 Creator power-users who have amassed over 2,700 original published Jobs between them. We applaud Caleb and the Crew for assembling a truly collaborative club of Creator enthusiasts who make, share and help perfect each other’s Jobs. You can also check out their dedicated website at www.creatorscoreclub.com. "We design and promote custom Jobs (Races, Deathmatch) created by us using the online GTAV Content Creator. We are looking for individuals who love the Content Creator and have created Races and DMs to play and share. This is absolutely a different experience than any other Crew on GTA to date." http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/crew/creators_core_clubhttp://www.creatorscoreclub.com/giving-credit-where-credit-is-due/ Despite loving to raise hell on the streets of Los Santos, TheSource2100 and his Crew Psycho Anarchy really seem to look after their own. These guys are seriously organized – with a dedicated website (www.psycho-anarchy.com), Facebook page, and coordinated Crew meetings."Looking for potential members to add to my Crew. We're PSN based and we have a decent amount of active members. We hold occasional meetings and also participate in Crew-only activities & sessions. We love to cause chaos & mayhem. But, we do have respect for one another. We prefer you to have a mic and be fairly active with the Crew. For more info, check out our Crew page and request an invite if you're interested in joining Psycho Anarchy."http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/crew/psycho_anarchyhttp://www.psycho-anarchy.com/ All about flexing speed and skill after the checkered flag waves, -Rik96- and his roster of ravenous racers the Apex Stalkers Crew have created an almost-300 strong squad (between both their PS3 and their Xbox 360 branches) of speed demons. The Apex Stalkers (“The Clean Racing Crew”) host their own forum for member discussion and have begun scheduling regular road runner meets. They’re also heavy on Snapmatic and the Content Creator with 3,000+ photos taken and 527 total Jobs created as of press time.. "Any clean racers out there are encouraged to join! Just note that we will be watching for dirty drivers, Crew killers, and general trouble making. Promotions are also handed out for instances of helping team mates, clean racing, good performances, and most of all, activity on the official forum.Rules: Just try to respect your fellow racers, we all know the occasional scrape can be fun when under pressure but no deliberate ramming.Games: Primarily racing. Please guys, avoid grinding criminal records and such... It's not a rule but I'm sure we're not here to grind. We do also love other game modes, all in the name of fun, for example, proximity skydiving is a bit of a trend atm.RECRUITMENTPS3We have recently switched to invite only so that we only get the most active and dedicated members. The process to join is:Sign up on our forum.Post a request to join in the recruitment section. We will organise to run some races with you there to see if you’re a good fit for the Crew.If you are a good fit, then we invite you!XBOX 360Open at the moment, but may go the way of invite only when numbers get big, this is to ensure we only have active members taking up our spots."http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/crew/apex_stalkers (PS3)http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/crew/apex_stalkers_xb (360)http://apexstalkers.enjin.com/forumThe 63-member Damned Legion MC has been actively assigning Hierarchy ranks and delegating responsibilities amongst their motorcycle enthusiast clique. These guys know the key ingredient for any Crew is solidarity. To that end, they’ve launched a dedicated site (with a redesign on the way) to keep their members updated and encourage respect amongst their ranks. In the words of Crew Representative El_Goobong420: "The essence of a good motorcycle Crew is Brotherhood, Unity, Strength. The essence of a GREAT MC is all of those plus one more ingredient ... YOU!!! The Damned Legion MC knows exactly what you've been wanting in this Crew business. Fun--Unity--Brotherhood--Active--Reliable.. Yeah, that's right; it's FUBAR that such an awesome Crew can exist. And it does exist! All it needs is you, you, and YOU!!!Come check it out, like what you see. If you want we'd even be willing to friend you for a hang around if you really want to try before you ride. It's a great family of GTA outlaws that is ever growing. Link for our club is below! Go now!!"http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/crew/the_damned_legion_mchttp://thedamnedlegionmc.yolasite.com/ The self-proclaimed "band of misfits" known as The Crystal Maze Crew and led by the charismatic beccazombie certainly seems like a good time.        "!!! Join The Crystal Maze, you muthas!!! Are you ready for the sexiest Crew in the universe? Our merry band of misfits will shower you with Top Fun and Water Sports and you will f*cking love it, you filthy beggars.*** -DEM RULES- ***1. We like mics, so that you can hear our dulcet tones! 2. Must know the words to Barbie Girl by Aqua.3. If you don't smell like Gamestation, you're not doing it right (mix of hot refuse and teenage angst)."                                              http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/crew/the_crystal_maze CREW RECRUITMENT VIDSFinally, this Noticeboard edition's featured Crew recruitment videos come to us via The 4 Wolves Crew and the 44Bullets Crew who’ve both put together some pretty compelling visuals to underscore their squads’ strengths. The 4 Wolves are a proud quartet led by W1ldthing93 and Commissioners b3ndaniels, imentalist and R4BiDR400N – but they’re now looking to create a larger Crew appropriately called the 4 Wolves Army. Watch their promo video below to see if you want to be down. "Grand Theft Auto 5 Crew promo video, showing the 4 wolves and what we like to do. We will be taking on members for a new clan called the 4 Wolves ArmySpecial thanks to The 4 Wolves, Deejayanthon and R*."http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/crew/the_4_wolves  The 44Bullets are a long-running group that’s been stunting on YouTube since GTAIV. Their Social Club Crew now has 72 members and counting, so if you’re all about death-defying, jaw-dropping flights of fancy – you might want to align yourself with these pre-eminent showoffs."We are a GTA stunt Crew who makes YouTube videos and currently are about to reach 2 million views. We have been GTA fans throughout the whole series of games and started making stunt videos back from GTA4. Currently we are at 70 members and we are now looking to expand on that with people who are like-minded and have high skill levels when it comes to gaming. We are all mature gamers and we do not just stunt we also produce music in real life and are connected to some of the best artists around with our productions. When it comes to people trying to mess with us while recording, we still like to wipe them out together if they come with that intent and we all have very high ranks and k/d ratios. If you are interested in being a part of this as we cross the 2 million mark milestone then click my name and send a message or apply to be in our Crew 4T4B from that page and I will respond asap. Looking forward to seeing you in our future videos and If you would like to watch one of our newest videos and songs then click this GTAV montage below. Cya soon.. hooorah!"http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/crew/44bullets Share what your Crew is about with the community in the comments section below. We only ask that you don’t spam (one post per Crew - and that includes pasting the same recruitment message in multiple articles). Please keep all such recruitment comments strictly on this and future Crew Noticeboard articles. This is also an ideal opportunity to show off your Crew pride with any fun group Snapmatic pics, Crew Creations or awesome gameplay vids that show everyone why your squad is the place to be or the team to beat. Remember to leave a link to your Crew's Social Club page so that you're easily spotted by those looking to answer your call. Previously:Crew Noticeboard: Highired Killas, Wred Dead Wrustlers and Others Now Recruiting

10 New Rockstar Verified Jobs Added to GTA Online

The latest round of Rockstar Verified GTA Online Jobs are now available for everyone to play on PSN and Xbox Live. If you're looking for new competitive and fun Races and Deathmatches to play, you can follow the links below to bookmark these on Social Club for easy access next time you boot up the game. And budding Creators, be sure to test these out to get the feel for what it might take to have your masterpiece become Rockstar Verified in a future update.Beach Side Race - created by papa_saladaAfter a quick tour of the Vespucci Canals, motorbikes and ATVs can really open it up along the coastal road from Vespucci Beach North to the Pacific Bluffs in this Race. We think papa_salada has picked the perfect vehicle class for this track, as the two and four wheelers can use their fearsome top speed to get some serious airtime on the canal bridges and that tricky jump along the final straightaway.Custom Freeway gymkhana - created by SaltedCrackaWith eight races already under his belt, SaltedCracka’s experience with the Creator tools are on display here. This short technical race around the docks features neat changes in elevation, a well-placed jump that fits perfectly with the flow of the race and some narrow, tricky turns that require deft use of the brake pedal. SaltedCracka has set the default vehicle as the Sultan - an excellent choice for drifting around the corners. The description for the Job pinpoints the final turn as the opportunity to “take it all and be #1”. Sage advice.Pickup paradise in From Weazel To Weazel. From Weazel to Weazel - created by cionyesThis tour of Los Santos and Banham Canyon is a great example of how to place pickups in a GTA Race, and it's clear to see why even prior to Verification the race has been played nearly 2,000 times. Creator cionyes hasn't just randomly peppered the course with pickups, instead choosing to place them in groups just before wide open avenues. This allows players to open the throttle, or open fire on the long straights and really make a play for first position. In the final dash through Banham Canyon opt for rockets instead of speed boosts to thwart the front-runners just in time to take the checkered flag back at Weazel Plaza.Rush Hour - created by YouStupidFatFukChoose your vehicle carefully as tight handling is required to navigate the twists and turns on this long tour of the Los Santos highways. In what feels like a nod to "The Commute", one of the more popular races in GTA Online, the civilians of Los Santos aren't your only worry as up to 15 other drivers battle along the freeways. Expect a lot of paint to be traded along the way. A plethora of pickups are available around the High Road track, and a pretty stunning view to boot.High Road - created by Spider-aka-Mr19A thrilling and chaotic race that goes from Los Santos' town center up into the hills for some alternative agriculture before racing back to Hawick and a rendezvous with your friendly neighborhood "pharmacist". Keep an eye out for some magnificent views of the Vinewood sign as you ride north into the hills. The Pad of Death - created by DatBreadAn anarchic Deathmatch down at the Los Santos docks filled with an arsenal of powerful weapons, explosives and grenades. While there's a healthy dose of chaos, there's also enough cover to afford tactical play; the terrain is littered with trucks and containers to allow for some surprise attacks and melee kills. Top tip: watch out for campers on the highway overpass and be sure to grab a Sniper Rifle or RPG from the jetty to take them down.Horseback Hell - created by Misterbocs007Misterbocs007, a representative of the Payne Killers Public Crew, shows his considerable Creator skills with this Team Deathmatch at the Paddocks just off the Senora Freeway. Items and pickups are grouped together close to spawn points and behind cover. These reload points encourage respawning players to immediately re-enter the fray, while players who have survived a firefight can retreat to this cover to restock before the next round. For an extra kick, huge gas tanks litter the map - aim a few volleys from the grenade launcher in their direction for some satisfying multikills. Two deathmatches in two rural remote locales: Horseback Hell (left) and Lodge Battle (right).Lodge Battle - created by Su-per-catThere's certainly a slasher flick feel to the locale for this Deathmatch - an abandoned lodge in a remote forest. We recommend playing this one at night with the rain coming down for the full effect. We've seen a lot of melee-weapon Deathmatches created in small flat enclosed spaces, but fencing around the Bayview Lodge makes for an altogether different proposition. For those who prefer more explosive weaponry, pick up one of the Grenade Launchers from either end of the oval enclosure and launch them indiscriminately towards the center, or grab an Assault Rifle in the middle and clamber on to the steep pitched roof to get a vantage on the battles below.Woodbury - created by RussianConcussinRussianConcussin has created a Team Deathmatch with a story all of its own... A small town in the Blaine County Wilderness has been fortified with barriers positioning one team as the conquering aggressor, and the other as the defiant defenders of their fortress. This is a game of territorial control and teamwork, particularly if the lobby leader follows RussianConcussin's recommendation to force players to start with knives and pick up more powerful weapons as they move through the map.Long Haul 2 - the longest Rockstar Verified or Rockstar Created race in GTA Online.Long Haul 2 - created by Paradis_420Get your Cheetah, Entity XF or Adder tuned up for the ultimate Supercar endurance test. There's almost no need to take your foot of the gas for the entire 12 minutes of this Race which is now the longest Rockstar Created or Rockstar Verified Job in GTA Online. The key to winning lies in the ability to maintain concentration, and to negotiate the traffic while still flying at top speed. Keep an eye on the minimap though, as your opponents will come hurtling past just as you've settled into your comfort zone.***As ever, in addition to occasionally changing Job names due to taste, copyright or other reasons - we also from time to time will make other small edits to players' Jobs before making them Rockstar Verified. This includes, but is not limited to modifying spawn points, improving checkpoints or increasing/decreasing the amount of weapon picks ups for a particular Job. Once Jobs are Rockstar Verified, they become available for play across both platforms, so whether you're on Xbox 360 or PS3, you'll have all these newly Verified creations available in your next Freemode session. Go ahead and post your Job below in the comments (only once, please don't spam) with a punchy explanation of why it's worth checking out. We're always looking for new player-created Jobs to add to the Rockstar Verified program and the best way to get noticed is to have a solid Race or Deathmatch that's been thoroughly tested by the community and refined into the most fun and fair experience it can be. Previously:Rockstar Verified GTA Online Jobs, Including the #CreatorWeekend SelectionsThe First Rockstar Verified GTA Online Jobs

Recently, we challenged the GTA Online community to show us their best Races and Deathmatches during our Social Club #CreatorWeekend for a chance at GTA$1M and an exclusive GTA Online license plate. Read on for a look at the Creator Weekend selections, along with five more Jobs that will also join the ranks of Rockstar Verified. Please note, in addition to occasionally changing Job names due to taste, copyright or other reasons - we also from time to time will make other small edits to players' Jobs before making them Rockstar Verified. This includes, but is not limited to modifying spawn points, improving checkpoints or increasing/decreasing the amount of weapon picks ups for a particular Job. Once Jobs are Rockstar Verified, they become available for play across both platforms, so whether you're on Xbox 360 or PS3, you'll have all these newly Verified creations available in your next Freemode session.ROCKSTAR VERIFIEDTwists and TwirlsA complex but beautifully constructed point-to-point through some of Blaine County's iconic countryside. Follow the winding roads of Vinewood Hills as you race from Galileo Observatory through to Tongva Valley. Car selection from the Sports class is key here - steer clear of the Comet's twitchy back end or risk a fishtail festival. Tight turns and unforgiving cliff edges require deft use of the brake pedal, but don't be afraid to go for broke when the opportunity arises.Stars In Your EyesAs the description so eloquently explains, this is "a tribute to the legendary track 'Stars in Your Eyes' in GTA IV". Pick the fastest car in the garage for the long straightaways on one of the busiest highways in Los Santos. Although Creator blueeyedbarbi advises that "you might want to turn traffic off if your reactions aren't quick enough", we think it's better to leave them on for a hair-raising drive into oncoming traffic that could leave the asphalt stained red.Monaco Grand Prix GTA ed.Another recreation of a famous real-world track, the Monaco Grand Prix GTA ed. contains all the features of Southern Europe's iconic Grand Prix race track: empty urban streets, a seafront setting, high end cars, a tricky hairpin, and two unforgiving chicanes that will slingshot you into the race lead, or through your own windshield.Casal Dos Ferros RaceA track for the Online racing purist. No novelty factors, no sneaky tricks, no unwelcome distractions - this is raw and unadulterated driving where timing is everything and winning is decided on milliseconds and inches. Use slipstreams to push yourself into the lead and don't look back, particularly as you hurtle towards the water on the final straight down Del Perro Pier... and definitely don't blink.Classy ConstructionAmongst the mansions of Vinewood Hills, a new build is going up bringing downtown construction workers into uptown 'hoods. Tensions arise between these two tribes, and isolated firefights break out across the elevated terrain. High walls and high end cars allow for a variety of maneuvers in this tricky Deathmatch. We recommend taking the sniper rifle to the top of the mansion turrets or seek out the minigun and own the streets. ROCKSTAR VERIFIED #CREATORWEEKEND SELECTIONS4 Way MadnessThis tight Downtown track is spread over four blocks and built for aerial mayhem. 4 Way Madness forces players to jump cross each others paths through a central airborne death zone, flying through mid-air in four different directions. Creator gangsterpdp has placed gas tanks beneath the airspace to ensure that any collision results in instant death. Be sure to max out the starting grid, and then wait until the pack thins out for the carnage to begin. So deliciously cruel and marvelously cunning we couldn't help but select gangsterpdp for the GTA$1M as well as an exclusive CRE8R license plate.Crastenburg Drifting RaceFrench-Canadian Creator WoriedNiko recommends turning the rain on to get the full experience from this tight, twisting race constructed across several parking lots near Los Santos International. Barrels and containers have been carefully positioned to create a series of on-a-dime turns and unforgiving chicanes best navigated via finessed tapping of the handbrake to throw out the back end of your ride into a controlled, smooth drift. For designing a race that brilliantly focuses on a specific racing technique, WoriedNiko gets the TOPCRE8R license plate and GTA$1M. Trés bien!Laguna Seca RemakePreviously featured on the Rockstar Newswire as a Job that caught our eye, we gave GTAVDriver a Rockstar Verified stamp of approval this week so that players on both platforms can enjoy this painstakingly detailed recreation of Southern California's famous Laguna Seca raceway. Bookmark it now for long straights and tight 270 degree turns that will challenge all your skills as a driver. The aptly named GTAVDriver also lands himself a NO1CRE8R License Plate and GTA$1M to spend on high end cars to throw around the track.Paradise Allyunseenchaos26, recipient of a THECRE8R license plate, warns that the law of the urban jungle reigns supreme in his well-crafted Deathmatch amongst the warehouses at the end of Del Perro pier. A high-walled street alley littered with heavy weapons, heavy armor and multiple entry points force you to keep moving, so campers be warned! The audacious play is to snag an ATV from the perimeter, and charge through the burnt out cars and buses into the central corridor to try and spring a surprise attack. When the coast is clear climb the ladder to the top of the warehouse overlooking the old motel and pick off your respawned enemies from above.Terry's HangoutThe only #CreatorWeekend selection set outside of Los Santos, eponymous creator terrynut6969 scoured the Blaine County landscape to find this cluster of buildings set around a small airport hangar. terrynut6969 has earned his I CRE8 license plate by cleverly splitting the space using wrecked buses that not only fit the derelict environment but create dynamic pathways and cover areas that set up brutal head-to-head showdowns. The added cover allows for surprise attacks using assault shotguns spread throughout the map, while isolated king-of-the-hill skirmishes will decide who owns the coveted positions atop the hangar and the air traffic control tower. Best enjoyed beneath the cold blue desert moonlight. Feel free to share some details and links for your Created Jobs in the comments below (being careful not to spam, natch) and see if you can gather some folks to test it out on a grand scale. We're always scouring Social Club for new Jobs to Verify, so keep testing, tweaking, improving and playing for your chance to become Rockstar Verified. And if you missed it when it aired live, our Creator Weekend stream also featured a few tips from the Rockstar Commentary team on how to get the most out of Creator. Taking Vinewood movie making back to its essence. Check out this quite creative short silent film by Grand Theft Auto fan and silent movie enthusiast sneaverson entitled "Inconvenience Store" - the story of a 24/7 hold-up gone awry, recently spotted on the GTAV subreddit. And read on below for a collection of some of the latest and greatest fan-created GTA videos including save-the-day stunt montages, meticulously shot time-lapse presentations and major Lazer-focused tributes. FLYBOYSWe've seen montages featuring all sorts of land-based vehicles in GTAV and GTA Online, from awesomely acrobatic Akumas scaling Los Santos skyscrapers to people landing that perfectly placed rail slide along a fence line on their Scorcher. Now, here are a few folks who've struck the perfect balance between aerial combat maneuvers and gracefully flirting with disaster to show just what the P-996 Lazer is capable of.   "A Tribute to the P-996 Lazer" by PerfectPlaysRecently, video production and commercial maker PerfectPlays (aka potatobears on reddit) spread his creative wings by reaching out to the Reddit Community and sharing this excellently cut tribute to this infamous 50 caliber bird - calling on a classic track from San Andreas's K-DST to set it off nicely. Also check out an amazing run of high risk maneuvers during "GTA V - Not a stunt montage. Just one long take".Meanwhile, "DANGER ZONE 2 - GTA 5 Jet Stunts" by vSubFire shows Franklin tuning in to a Loggins inspired "Danger Zone 2" montage that features harrowing flipside passes through San Andreas' lowest bridges and eye of the needle cut-throughs in some of the narrowest spaces available. TIME WELL SPENTWith all the flashy cars, amazing stunts and explosive action to be enjoyed in San Andreas, it's often easy to forget that Los Santos and Blaine County can also offer a chill visual respite amidst the chaos. Here are a few excellent vids that stop to take in the view."The Rhythm of Los Santos" by Ferino DesignYou may remember Ferino Design for the awesome Art in Motion animated graphics GTAV video series. Now maestro Ferino turns the focus to the streets and hillsides of GTA Online with an amazingly crafted and hypnotic time-lapse video, "The Rhythm of Los Santos". Says Ferino, "Lovely, lovely city. I love it, its rhythm, its beauty... Spent on this video: 128 hours of video material and more than a month of work." Kudos. And while we may all be relieved to have the hectic Holidays behind us, we would be remiss to not mention his charmingly cheeky and super slick "Happy Holidays in Los Santos" video as well. Crew Commissioner BoomStickChick of the LC Wolfpack Crew took her first swing at creating a time-lapse style video with Grand Theft Auto V Time Lapse and we must say her composition and perspective in some of these living-breathing postcard shots is top-notch.Also Check Out:"Random V - Timelapse / Day & Night" by DespicableChannel"Sentinel XS - GTA V Hellaflush Montage" by Dopaholics"GTA V - World in Motion" by BenBuja CUSTOM CHAOSThe Creator community continues to show off its prolific ingenuity in making original GTA Online Deathmatches and Races. Here are a few that take it to the video tape with stylish showcases."GTA 5 Online | DM creator | 'Vanilla Unicorn'" by Aegis Imperium | EGISAssociate Crew Aegis Imperium of the veteran Aegis Legion Crew has shown a flair for the dramatic before. In this latest offering above, they run a lot more than their Crew flag up the pole in a decidedly hot and bothered custom created Deathmatch inside the Vanilla Unicorn. By the looks of things, this popular gentlemen's club seems ready to serve up plenty of gats, bats and colorful bra straps (with a Molotov cocktail chaser). If Custom Races are more your thing, Der4ucker from the provocative 4uckers Crew clips his way through a carefully crafted race in "GTA Online Pro-BMX Race" - which is not only a point-to-point trek through LS's backstreets but a well-executed BMX trick course. High marks for ingenuity as this gambit of a circuit seems to be every bit as much about technique as it is about the speed it requires to make landings and markers - all the way up until the rooftop jump touchdown at the finish line.  SUPER HEROIC STUNTSAble to leap over tall buildings in a single bound or "descend from the rafters... like a bat"? It's all in a day's work for GTA Online's physics defying denizens who often trade in their "mild-mannered" daily activities for some no-fear leaps along rooftops and hard to reach landing zones."GTA 5 - The AMAZING Stuntman" 1 & 2 by Red Key MonNomad Union Stunting of gtastunting.net are back at it with new offerings by RedKeyMon, demonstrating that they're more than capable of swinging through the neighborhood without the use of elaborate web-slinging devices or colorful spandex body suits. We won't spoil anything but make sure you check out the truly amazing drop at 1:19 in the second installment above if nothing else. Also Check Out:"Wingin it" by il White Widow"Having a Bad Day" by NickTN As always, if you've got an excellent GTA or Rockstar themed clip of your own that you think the world needs to see, feel free to drop it in the comments for the Social Club community to enjoy or send it our way to have a look at mouthoff@rockstargames.com, and we may feature it in a future round-up here at the Newswire.

We're also taking the occasion of this new Crew update to kick off the first Grand Theft Auto Online Crew vs Crew battle live stream this Friday February 7th at 2pm ET broadcasting from our official Twitch channel.

After reviewing tons of entries, including everything from stunning snaps of souped-up sports cars to vintage framed dirt-dusted dune buggies, we've selected our five favorite vehicle-themed photos from the #LSCarShow Snapmatic Photo Contest. Well-deserved congratulations to each talented shutterbug who will receive a deluxe Grand Theft Auto V Prize Pack, and definitely stay tuned for our next Snapmatic photo contest to be announced soon. "My Iron Butterfly" by BANDICOOT-RUS: Brilliant. A jaw-dropping juxtaposition of an Infernus spreading its scissor door wings amongst the butterflies of the Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness. "Boulevard Del Perro" by Chuttbeeks: This shot of a Grotti Carbonizzare looks like a still from out of a Vinewood major motion picture - and is so stunning that it prompted an argument in the photo comments over whether or not Photoshop was used. Nope, just a masterful use of the recently released Snapmatic filters. "Pacific Bluffs" by DrakkarV794: Wish you were here. A postcard-perfect snap of an eggshell and blue two-toned Declasse Tornado against the Pacific Bluffs coastline, making for sublime and serene photo. "#LSCARSHOW" by austinalhnc: Looking prime for an official Canis Mesa truck advert, austinalhnc captured the rugged off-roader looking right at home in the wilderness of Blaine County. "Mount Gordo" by VideoGameRobert: A fearsome cougar beside an LCC Hexer, poised to roar against the dying of the light. It doesn't get much more badass than this.  Previously:The #LSCarShow Snapmatic Photo ContestSnapmatic Photo Contest: #EpicPhotobomb WinnersThe First Snapmatic Photo Contest: #EpicPhotobomb

CAPPING A THOUSAND     Clockwise from top left: Nexxus Shoot My Ass (NXXZ), Crew Quoty (0410), The Procrastinators (NERD), Devastation (DNYT), Landed it HIKE (HIKE), Italian Figa Hunters (FIGA), The Meat Department (MEAT), Monster Drift Team (DRFT)A round of applause for the very first batch of Crews to skyrocket up to the new member cap of 1,000 people. Out of the millions of Social Club Crews in existence, only about 50 were powerful enough to attract enough new recruits to hit the new cap within a week’s time, many of which are led by popular YouTube broadcasters who rallied their viewers to officially join their Crew ranks. One of the very first to reach that benchmark were the Nexxus Shoot My Ass (NXXZ) Crew of Spain, led by the renowned YouTube broadcaster NexxusHD who’s been prolific with a constant stream of GTA Online videos lately, including clips playing through some of their own custom-made Jobs like “Base Maritima”. NXXZ has the distinction of reaching maximum capacity within only an hour or two of open season. What’s more, the Nexxuz army has an array of other affiliate Crews, ALL of which amazingly have rocketed up to the new Cap. Saludos to: PELOTON DE NEXXUZHD2,  Nexxuz Shoot My Ass, Nexxus on Fire, Nexxuz Move My World, Nxxz Drive Me Crazy and Nexxuz lol my body who are all currently at 1,000 members strong, and there's other Nexxuz community Crews ever growing and under cap for others who want to join in.Another mega-Crew making waves and maxing out is LANDED IT (HIKE) from the HikeTheGamer YouTube channel, whom you may have seen over this Valentine's Social Club Event weekend taking the Albany Roosevelt off-roading with the Crew. From the looks of it, there are at least seven other HIKE affiliate Crews topping off at a thousand and several others that are packing the seats as well. Some other Crews bolstering their numbers impressively include the Italian Figa Hunters (FIGA) headed up by YouTuber YTCapoBastone, VintageBeef's cheekily titled The Meat Department (MEAT) and Crew Quoty (0410) and its vice versa twin Quoty Crew (0410) led by popular YouTuber Mr Quoty. The Devastation (DNYT) Crew were another to quickly hit the new 1K threshold, led by YouTuber and Twitch streamer DomisLive who also did some Valentine's Event live-streaming this weekend. Definitely check out DomisLive’s regular Top Stunts video series, highlighting incredible feats submitted by Crew members and followers. As long as we're on the subject of burning rubber, the seriously packed Monster Drift Team (DRFT) headed up by bl00df3lla and its twin Monster Drift Team 2 (DRFT) is for serious racers and encourages its members to "smoke tires not drugs".The Procrastinators is another fully subscribed Crew led by YouTuber Mattophobia, and with a meticulously organized Hierarchy with just two trusted Commissioners, three Represantatives and a mass of 994 Muscle keeping them strong on the streets.LIGHTS, CAMERA, BATTLEWINNER: [UFAV] 793 / [AGNT] 749 Once we announced that we'd be hosting GTA Online Crew-versus-Crew Battles live on Twitch, the requests from camera-ready, feuding Crews came flying in. Our first televised grudge match was broadcast on February 7th, pitting the xVX-The Agency-xVx (AGNT) Crew against rivals the UNFAIR ADVANTAGE (UFAV) Crew.To keep things fair and to facilitate streaming, two of our devs, PlayRockstar and PlayRockstar2, signed on to be part of the good fight each joining a side as we played through a ten round Crew Head to Head Playlist that included Races, Capture, Team Deathmatch and Last Team Standing to see who would emerge victorious. Winning the first couple of Jobs in the Playlist by demonstrating cunning, savvy group tactics and solid racing skills, momentum seemed to be going with The Agency to start. Hanging in there, UFAV eventually won some rounds and showed off their excellence in deathmatch where gunplay was front and center. UFAV floored The Agents on one of the final battles on Vespucci Beach, ultimately giving AGNT the beatdown, 793 - 749.You can check out an archive of the battle in its entirety at our Twitch channel and, if you and your Crew are brave enough to step in the arena and put your pride on the line on the stream, give us a shout at CrewChallenges@rockstargames.com and make your case - be sure to include a link to your Crew's Social Club page and what console you'd be playing on as well as info on any specific other Crews you may have a rivalry with that you'd like to settle. Please keep in mind that we’ll only be hosting a couple of these per month, so be patient as we schedule select battles throughout the spring, summer and beyond.  AUSOMENESSKeep it above 50: GTAAUS Leader Jamage007 created a mini game based on the '90s action flick Speed.      Clockwise from top left: GTAAUS (GTAU), GTAAUS Rebels MC, GTAAUS High Rollers, GTAU Hunting Squad, MKS SUBURBAN NINJAS (SUBS), Australian Illuminati (ORDO), Illuminati MCC (IMCC)The Mouthoff inbox and our Noticeboard post comments have been getting a steady influx of Crews repping the Lucky Country down under lately. The GTAAUS (GTAU) Crew is a particularly strong set, with a healthy hierarchy led by Jamage007, a frequently updated Facebook page and a penchant for meta-games (see the video above as well as their Mount Chilliad Dump Truck Race). With their regular Crew nights, the gang gets together across both platforms. The GTAU is currently accepting new recruits in the wake of the cap lift, and you can also look into any of their alliance Crews, such as the GTAAUS Rebels MC, GTAAUS High Rollers and GTAU Hunting Squad.Fellow Aussie, live streamer and longtime Social Club member Masterkizz also broadcasts the exploits and shenanigans of his MKS SUBURBAN NINJAS (SUBS) Crew. Check out this highlight vid of some funny moments from a recent stream. Then there's the Australia Illuminati (ORDO) Crew and their affiliates, the Illuminati MCC (IMCC) Crew. Both ORDO and IMCC have their own sites and they consistently hold events and competitions, including their recent "Best Garage" contest.BELGIAN BROTHERHOODMeanwhile from another corner of the globe, GhostRusher51 and the Red DevilsMC Belgium (RDBE) Crew were also very keen to land themselves a place in the Cut. They sent over the appropriately titled presentation video above and alerted us to their strong Snapmatic presence as proof of their commitment to brotherhood. RDBE claims to be a tight-knit set - putting all members through a test phase to properly integrate them.RIVAL FAMILIES    After reading our recent feature on mobbed up mafia-themed Crews, some other Social Club wiseguys took umbrage and are looking to assert their dominance over Los Santos turf. ReedySpiderPig5 made a tough offer to refuse in asking us to recognize the Varanzano Family (TVCF) Crew, in their words "one of the most feared crime families and part of the most powerful five family commission" going back to GTAIV. WHYTEBOI_204 of the CANADIAN MOBBSTAZ (MOBB) Crew was even more direct, calling out the previously featured MADE OF STEEL MOS (1MOS) Crew specifically:  "Me and my Crew are the real MOBB SINCE SEPT/27/12 CANADIAN MOBBSTAZ!!! Our clan tag actually IS MOBB !!! We've been around since MAX PAYNE 3. I swear the 1MOS are straight biting OUR STYLE from the hockey masks to the red clothing. We been MOBBIN a heck of a lot longer then you. So if anybody from the 1MOS Crew is reading this or anyone who plays with them tell them to contact me for a Crew battle. I'm callin' them out. And if they dont... well then I guess we'll know who really deserves to be up there. I'm tellin' YOU RIGHT NOW we will never back down or give up. Your move 1MOS." It looks like battle lines have been drawn. Perhaps we have a future Crew vs Crew Battle in the works. Your move indeed, 1MOS.ACREWED ARTCargo Tank by KidneyTheftCargo Tank by The Pink Sock.Among those showcased in a recent fan pic round-up, nomorekidneys let us know that his gang, the always provocative The Pink Sock (SOCK) Crew have put together their own photo group, Art of The Pink Sock. Broken down by Victims, Crew Shots and other categories, it serves as a chronicle of the group's exploits. And speaking of Crew snaps, the consistently prolific Ganja Outlaws also recently tweeted out this very cool group shot of the gang bursting out of the game's TV screen billboard. Eazy-E would be proud.CREWS ON FILMTraining Day. Some of the Malicious Intentt (MAIN) Crew going off the rails. In addition to wreaking havoc on the rails in the above video, The Malicious Intentt (MAIN) Crew have created a series of Crew trailers challenging other clans to step up to them. For breaking news from the world of GTA Online with some pretty snazzy production values, check out the latest from el_serpe and the Aegis Imperium (EGIS) Crew. The Faceless Knights meanwhile have assembled quite a collection of amusing Crew hijinks videos on their Twitch page worth checking out, including the chopping of Crew member sumitshift_fk, sniping a Buzzard and a pair of mischievous dump trucks. Previously:Crew Cut: Chain Gangs of 2014Crew Cut: Family Business

Rockstar Game Tips: Perfecting Your GTA Online Races with the Creator

$

With access to some of the very same tools that our developers use to create GTA Online Jobs and now with over 2.5 million created thus far at Social Club, fans have certainly been putting the Deathmatch & Race Creator to work. Our latest edition of Rockstar Game Tips is designed to help you get the most out of the Race Creator, with some general guidance that should ensure your Races are intuitive and fun to play. Many of these tips are in direct response to questions and comments we've received at the gtaonline@rockstargames.com email address, where we're constantly reading your feedback about all things GTA Online as we continue to grow and refine the experience. For avid Creators out there, read on for Race game design pro tips including some do's and don'ts specifically suggested by our dev teams who are on the lookout for standout Jobs with Rockstar Verified potential. Definitely take note if you're aspiring to join that illustrious group with one of your custom-made Jobs. For those yet to jump into the Creator, we're leading off with a guide to getting started, and be sure to look out for a future Game Tips article covering Deathmatch creations very soon. Getting StartedYour first decision is to settle on which kind of Race you would like to build. Over and above deciding on a Land, Sea or Air Race, is it going to be a multi-terrain endurance on two wheels, a coast-to-coast sprint in classic sports cars, a jet stream through the city to test those knife flying skills, or something else entirely? Knowing this from the outset will give your Race a sense of identity that you can work towards when creating it.In the Race Details Menu, you can set a range of parameters, including available vehicles, time of day, number of laps and weather. And don't fret: all of these details can be adjusted later on should you change your mind or discover something's not quite right during play-testing.Get off to a good start with your starting grid placement.Location, Location, LocationYour first step in creating a Race is placing a Trigger. This is where players will need to go in Freemode to start your Race and also the approximate area where the Starting Grid will be. If you're currently far away from where you'd like to start creating, just hit the Start button and select where you'd like to be on the map to head there instantly. You can also take a shot for the Lobby Camera, selecting the backdrop where players will gather before the start of the Race.Your next port of call is to lay those all-important Checkpoints that will mark out your Race route. You can navigate around the game world using the left stick to move the camera, the right stick to pan and the L2/LT and R2/RT buttons to zoom. Take your time and carefully consider what terrain and locations you want your Race to cover, especially considering the Vehicle Settings you decided on in the Race Details Menu (although these can be changed at any point). If you want to insert a new Checkpoint between two already existing ones, make sure the new Checkpoint is touching the blue line that appears on screen between the two previous ones, otherwise it will be placed at the end of the Race. The blue line will be highlighted yellow to indicate that you’re going to insert a checkpoint between two already existing ones.If you select Laps as your Route Type in the Race Details Menu, then bear in mind that your Race layout will need to loop back on itself to work well. If you select Point to Point, then the final Checkpoint you place will automatically become the Finish Line. Note that all Races must be at least 0.62 miles and you must have completed at least one full Test (although we highly recommend doing more than just one Test of course for proper due diligence) before you can Publish.Perfect PlacementCreative placement of Props, Weapons and Boosts is your opportunity to add to the existing layout of the game world and come up with something truly unique, so play around with it!For those who choose to play it as a GTA Race, you can place Weapons, Health and Boosts along your Race route. These can all be found in the Placement > Weapons Menu, while Props can be found at Placement > Props. Smart placement allows you to block off a bridge, build a jump to add a little Vinewood spectacle to proceedings - or anything else your imagination can summon. You can also place a Stunt Jump so that the camera will cut to a special angle when going over a specific ramp. To do this you will need to place two markers - one at the end of the ramp, where players will take off from, and one to set the position of the Stunt Jump camera. The camera's height can be adjusted by pressing the analog sticks.Find the ideal place to drop a sweet jump...Land, Sea or Air?Creating Land Races and Sea Races follow a similar process other than the obvious distinction that Land Race Checkpoints can only be placed on solid terrain and Sea Race Checkpoints can only be placed on water. Also be aware that certain Props can only be placed in certain areas: Buoys and Water Ramps, for example, are designed specifically for the wet stuff. When creating Air Races you also have to consider the height of each of your Checkpoints - you can raise each Checkpoint by clicking in the left stick and lower them by clicking in the right stick.Testing 1, 2, 3As with all game development, rigorous testing and refinement is the best way to come up with something truly special. You can select the Test option at any point to play the Race for yourself without worrying about losing any of your progress. If you discover something you're not happy with, return to the Creator by hitting down on the d-pad and you'll shoot right to that point for a quick tweak or a major overhaul. You can also switch to in-game camera by pressing the Select/Back button to place Checkpoints and Props from the comfort of your vehicle. Not only does this allow you to place Race Checkpoints on the fly, it also gets you into areas that the Creator cursor can't reach, such as underground tunnels. When testing Races, it’s important to make sure each of the respawn points works properly, especially if they happen to be close to an obstacle or large structure.Back to the Drawing BoardIt happens to the best of us: sometimes you end up with a road to nowhere and Checkpoints messier than a Trevor Phillips bar crawl. If you want to go back to a blank canvas at any point, you can delete all Checkpoints or everything entirely in Placement > Delete Options (you can also delete All Weapons, All Props, All Dynamic Props, and All Stunt Jumps). Then publish your Race on the Social Club website for all to enjoy.Design TipsNow that you're acquainted with some of the basic functions of the Content Creator, here are some words of advice to ensure that your Race stands out from the crowd.Always make sure the next Checkpoint is easily visible. You want your Races to be settled by skill, not confusion. For tight turns, place your Checkpoint slightly before the apex of the corner. This will give the player ample notice to brake and allow them to focus on maintaining a good racing line.99% of the time, a well-placed Checkpoint is a better indication of an upcoming turn than a row of wrecked buses.Use the description to let your players know how best to play your Race. If you're using lots of Props to create roadblocks, for example, and you find in testing that the Race plays better with traffic disabled, let people know that.Make sure Weapon and Health pickups are placed far enough apart so that a single player can't grab them both at the same time. This will keep your GTA Race competitive by not giving the leader too great an advantage.Weapon pickups, specifically Rockets, should be used sparingly enough so that they present a potential turning point in the GTA Race, rather than a constant malaise. Consider placing them where they might be most tactically effective, like at the beginning of a long straight section.Remember that all created Races can be played as GTA Races but only if you take the time to place weapon pickups. Ensuring that your Races are well-balanced and enjoyable in both standard and GTA Race formats gives your players an incentive to come back for more.Jumps should also be used sparingly. Too many jumps, or badly placed ones, can harm the flow and make your Race memorable for the wrong reasons.Boost pickups should be placed on straight sections and key overtaking positions where they can be most effective.Don't place Stunt Jump cameras before turns as the player may lose sight of their vehicle.Vehicle selection should always be carefully considered according to the layout and terrain of your course. Compacts are best suited to intricate city routes while the Off-Road class of vehicles is most at home in the mud and blood of Blaine County. If you'd like to experiment with different combinations of vehicle class, such as Sports Cars and Off-Road, then you'll want to mix up the terrain and course so that neither has an inherent advantage. You can even select parts of the game world that provide split routes, such as tight, risky shortcuts for bikes on mountain trails. Balance is everything and the way to achieve that is through meticulous testing - try out your Race using various vehicles until you're consistently setting similar times across the board.Air Races should test pilots with a mixture of vertical and lateral, side-to-side movement, in order to break the routine of straight flying for long periods of time. There are no handbrakes in the sky so extremely tight turns might make your Race too difficult or even unplayable. You may find it useful to switch to the in-game camera to get a feel for the turning capabilities of each aircraft when fine tuning Checkpoint placement. If you really want to test your players' cockpit skills then think about how to combine Checkpoint placement and the game world itself to create challenging sections. For example, a series of Checkpoints weaving above and under bridges will test their altitude control, while placing one between neighboring skyscrapers will force them into knife flying position. With everything here, experimentation is the key, so play around and have fun!Sharing is CaringWhen you're completely happy, hit Publish and your Race will be available for the Social Club community. Players in your Freemode session will be able to access it via the Social Club website and from there they can download, play, rate and share your Job at any time.We hope these tips help you perfect your created Races and look out for our tips on Creator Deathmatches here at the Newswire very soon.

Valentine's Weekend Massacre Social Club Event Roundup: Snapmatic Winners, Weekend Streams and More

The good folks at popular fan-run channel GTA Series Videos posted this awesome video on Valentine's Day as a detailed tour and highlight reel of their (now 1,000-man) Crew putting the new Valentine's Day Massacre content through its paces.Much love to everyone who turned out, dressed to the nines in their spiffy double-breasted suits and flapper dresses, for the Valentine's Weekend Massacre Social Club Online Event. We saw tons of players and Crews out there not only getting into some vintage violent hijinks with their new Gusenberg Sweepers and Albany Roosevelts, but also taking to the waterways to reap bonus GTA$ payouts in Sea Races, locking palms for Triple RP Arm Wrestling, scooping up Event Crate Drops with free weaponry, RP boosts and more.As a reminder, while the Social Club Event weekend in-game rewards may be over, the Valentine’s Day Massacre Special content itself will continue to be available to redeem in-game until the end of February and will be kept in your inventory for good thereafter – so you’ve got until the end of day this Friday February 28th now to snatch up those vintage goodies while you can. DO IT LIVE We kicked off the Social Club Event weekend with the official Rockstar live stream broadcast across Twitch, YouTube and the Social Club Events page on Friday afternoon as we were joined by special guest GTA fan and popular Twitch streamer, Swiftor. Swiftor got in the spirit by hosting an impromptu romantic pick-up line contest with players on the stream where would-be Romeos offered questionable queries like, "Can I borrow your phone to call my mom and tell her I'm in love?" from ThisGameIsEasy and other, less wholesome gems from CheeseWhiz90, SombreOsprey and more. Thanks to Swiftor and his awesome community for joining us, and we definitely look forward to having him back soon again.A special shout to everyone who managed to get in a game with us during the show as we played through new Jobs from the Valentine's Day Massacre update - including ChubbyGrandad and ChubbyGrandson of the xBrotherhood Nation and well-known GTA community members iLewisGTA, theGTAbase, and MRGTAVInformer. Great times were had by one and all as you can see below. Happy Valentines day from myself and @RockstarGames :) I blow this kiss to share the love! #GTAV #GTAOnline pic.twitter.com/9n8y2zyM5F— Lewis The Majestic (@iLewisGTA) February 14, 2014Me and some @RockstarGames devs having a straightener! Bare knuckles #GTAOnline pic.twitter.com/vlPDwz12XE— theGTAbase.com (@theGTAbase) February 14, 2014   The live stream Valentine’s Massacre Weekend action continued throughout the weekend with lots of other broadcasts by standout members of the community on Twitch and YouTube. The new Albany Roosevelt might not immediately strike you as the perfect off-road vehicle but nonetheless, HikeTheGamer and his Crew decided to gather a fleet of them and take to the great outdoors on Saturday and then move out to the LSI tarmac to put their customized vintage sports vehicles through some rigorous racing and unusual jump choices - the footage you see above was streamed live to Hike's YouTube channel this past Saturday. Cheers as well to DomIsLive of the DevastationYT Crew who got buckwild on Twitch for over two hours, decked out in Valentine’s gear and getting into all sorts of Races and free roam action with others.MarleyThirteen on YouTube also decided to spend Valentine's in the hills by taking along particularly demanding paramour, SaplingGirl for a romantic date in search of the sunset. And LarsDK got in some quality time with our very own PlayRockstar streaming his playsession, taking in a wide range of Jobs including Races and Capture.#VDAYMASSACRE SNAPMATIC COMPETITION WINNERSOver the weekend, we challenged all Snapmatic shutter-bugs out there with capturing themselves and their respective Crews breaking hearts using the hashtag #vdaymassacre - with a cool GTA$1M and one of five exclusive in-game license plates (MASACRE, VLNTINES, VMASSCRE, KISS IT, BE MINE) up for grabs for our favorite five. Here are our most adored #vdaymassacre pics that were taken during the Event eligibility period:Shenizian of the ZWAME PT Crew did an excellent job of capturing this vintage sepia-soaked scene of contrasting black and white Roosevelt Albanys racing down a Vinewood street while amorous flappers look on blowing kisses. Shenizian was prolific in gettting into the Valentine's Day spirit all weekend long, also catching our eye with this capture of a cheeky Cupid cherub drawing his "bow" and setting his sights on a young couple. With an eye for detail, DTizMusiK and his Vespucci Beach Boyz Crew took an historical reenactment angle for this perfectly composed B&W Snapmatic of a Valentine's Massacre gangland execution in progress.GTAforums.com Official Gang Alliance Crew, The Leone Family did a masterful job of looking cool, collected and dapper in their new suits and spats whilst casually taking a stroll away from an insane explosion, under the directorial eye of lensman KidFromBroker. Is this a private mob bosses’ summit somewhere away from the prying eyes of the FIB’s lip-readers? Or a tense "take a ride with me, we need to talk" type of discussion that will inevitably end with someone sleeping with the sharks? Mr_Nosnets of the San Andreas Hounds Crew sets the imagination running and lists this intimate snap as one of his personal favorites.Anonamix and the always entertaining Traffickers Crew painted the parking lot red by working together to arrange 24 crimson cars to spell out their undying affection.NOTHING BUT LOVE FOR YAWe would certainly be remiss if we didn't honorably mention a few other standout Snapmatics - including some that were tagged #vdaymassacre but were posted outside of the announced eligibility period: jbhips a.k.a. Ferino Design captured this gorgeous snap of a Roosevelt rolling out at The Richman Hotel and Ayreon01 blew a sweet kiss making for a perfect potential advert for the Vanilla Unicorn. Other notable honorable mentions include commendable pics from NineD6, iDeSTRuCTiioNz-, k2xBlazer, Space0Monkey, austin_45561, jwozzbot117 and Leinachan.PUSSI RIOTWe'd like to give a special s/o to the ladies of Pussi Riot, self-proclaimed "GTAV's Premier Girl Character Crew Tearing Up The Streets Of Los Santos" (although if any other all-girl Crews want to challenge that claim, drop us a line at crewchallenges@rockstargames.com). Their Lieutenant, blondarus set them a challenge at the beginning of the week to dress up in their finery and share "Mug shots even Eliot Ness would be scared of". That turned into an incredible bit of foresight with the Valentine's Day Massacre update being announced shortly after, and we enjoyed checking out the contributions on their Crew Blog.PARTING IS SUCH SWEET SORROWRemember, the Valentine's Day Massacre Special content is still available to obtain in-game til the end of this month and can be kept for good, so you've got until the end of day this Friday, February 28th to scoop it all up. In addition to that, we'd like to also remind everyone who entered the Social Club Event Sweepstakes (for the chance to win rare Bugstars overalls, the Chop stuffed stash and more) to watch the inboxes of whatever email you have linked to your Social Club account as we’ve now sent out email notifications to try and confirm potential winners. Stay tuned for more new GTA Online content updates to be announced soon as well as more Social Club Event Weekend action to come.

Rockstar Game Tips: Making Killer GTA Online Deathmatches with the Creator

When making Deathmatches using the Creator tool, consider placing powerful weapons in harder-to-reach spots. In our previous Rockstar Game Tips article, we covered game design pro tips and pointers for polishing and perfecting your own GTA Online Races using the Creator - and we've been enjoying test driving what the Social Club community has produced thus far. Next up, we're going to delve into how to make killer custom Deathmatches, deciding every detail from where players spawn to which radio station plays in the pre-match lobby. As before, we're leading off with a general guide for anyone yet to get some quality time with the Creator. For Creator veterans, we've got some inside design tips in response to questions and comments we've received at the gtaonline@rockstargames.com email address, including specific suggested do's and don'ts from some of the very Rockstar dev team that are actively seeking out exceptional Jobs to join the ranks of the Rockstar Verified.Getting StartedThe Deathmatch Details Menu is where you're going to enter the name and description of your Deathmatch, as well as parameters such as how many players can be on each team, Target Score (kills), Time Limit and Time of Day. Note that all Deathmatches have to be playable in both Normal (free-for-all) and Team varieties - whichever of the two you select as your Deathmatch Type sets it as the default when players enter the Job.Balanced weapon choice is one of the key ingredients in a Deathmatch. Using the Lock Weapons option, you can choose to restrict your Deathmatch to one particular weapon (Forced Only), restrict the starting weapon but allow pickups (Forced + Pickups) or allow players to bring their own loadout (Owned + Pickups). This allows you to create Deathmatches that are pistols-only, knives-only, fists-only... whatever you like.Tennis, anyone?Perfect PlacementJust like when creating Races, placing a Trigger sets where players will need to go to start your Deathmatch from Free Mode and also lays down the rough location of where the action will take place. You'll also want to take a Lobby Camera picture to set the pre-Job background. Next up are the all-important Spawn Points. These are the points at which players will respawn when they die and their placement will go some way to determining how fun the Deathmatch is to play. The number of Spawn Points required is displayed at the bottom right of the screen and it is affected by the player counts you set up in the Deathmatch Details menu. If you feel like things are getting too congested, remember that you can go back and tweak all of those details at any time. You'll also need to lay down some Team Start Points (one per player) which is where players start when your Job is played as a Team Deathmatch. Generally you'd be looking to start them off with their respective teams at opposite ends of the playing area, but there are no hard and fast rules so feel free to experiment. Maybe we'll see some Red Dead-style standoffs?Once these are in place, it's time to start populating the playing area with things like Weapons, Health & Armor pickups, or even Vehicles and Props, such as Cabins and Barriers to provide additional cover. The only way we know of to create a well-balanced Deathmatch is to test it repeatedly and change things around accordingly. If the sniper spot you set up is feeling slightly too exposed, put some cover up there. If you find that players are heading straight for the P-996 Lazer you dropped in and dominating from there, maybe you need some heavy firepower on the ground to help even the balance. If you want to quickly lay down some basic structure like Spawn Points, Start Points and Weapon Pickups to go back and tweak later, hit the Randomize option after placing your Trigger to get an instant playable Deathmatch inside the area you selected. You can also switch to in-game camera by pressing the Select/Back button and place Spawn Points, Weapons and everything else from the ground. This will also allow you access to create in underground areas and inside some buildings.Adding too much cover plus too many Armor and Health pick-ups could make a fortified position overly advantageous, so always test and refine your Deathmatches.Testing 1, 2, 3Hitting the Test option allows you to play your Deathmatch against AI-controlled opposition and you must complete one Test before you can publish the Job. However, don't think that testing ends when your Deathmatch is out in the wild. Be sure to actively gather feedback from your Friends and Crewmates, as well as comments and ratings made by the wider Social Club community, and then go back in to update accordingly. You may even want to add notes to the description so that returning players can see what's changed and know that you're actively tweaking your Job post-launch.Design TipsBalance should always be your ultimate goal - the feeling that every player has an equal opportunity to win and that no particular Spawn Point offers an unfair advantage or disadvantage. The kinds of things you'll want to be considering carefully are cover placement, high ground and sight lines. With this knowledge, you can create interesting sections such as effective sniper spots (with a handy Sniper Rifle to boot) and chokepoints.Keep the radius of your Deathmatch in mind; players do not want to be running a marathon to get to the heat of the action.Unless your Deathmatch takes place over a very large area, consider lowering the minimum number of players. This will make it easier to gather enough players to launch the Job and cut down the risk of keeping your players waiting.Consider placing powerful weapons in harder-to-reach spots, such as on a low roof where a player will have to climb to get it. Try to place pickups in more dangerous areas so that players can't just camp in a corner with a rocket launcher spawn. If you would like to set up a Deathmatch where only one weapon can be used, select it as the Forced Weapon in the Deathmatch Details menu and switch the Lock Weapon option to Forced + Pickups or Forced Only. With the latter option selected, any weapon pickups you placed out on the field will automatically become that selected weapon.Varied terrain and existing structures can make your Deathmatch more interesting so whenever you're cruising in Free Mode, be on the lookout for potential spots. You can add dynamic props such as explosive barrels or vehicles to give players different tactical options.Spawn Points should be placed near to where the action is likely to be but clustered so that each spawn doesn't result in instant death. Also make sure you adjust the orientation of Spawn Points using the L1/LB and R1/RB buttons, making sure the player is facing the action when they spawn. There's nothing more frustrating than spawning into a frenetic battle with your back to the action. When placing spawn or cover points, consider a rock, paper, scissors approach so that all positions have an advantage over some but a disadvantage over others.Test, test and then test some more! Keep fine-tuning things until you can’t find anything more to improve.Market your creation – A clever title and well written description coupled with an offbeat photo can make your creation pop on the Social Club website, meaning more players will notice it. You should also be creative in looking to promote your masterpiece amongst your Crew, your Social Club Friends, and also on outside social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube to make sure all your friends know about it and give it a go.Change the camera mode to third person view often when editing a Deathmatch so you can see how the props and objects will work in the game. An elaborate maze of props might look cool from above, but it could make for a frustrating map.  This can also help you place weapons and objects more precisely on the map. While it may be tempting to fill the area with exotic weapons and vehicles, this can result in a bloated, unbalanced experience.Time to PublishWhen you're completely happy, hit Publish and your Deathmatch will be available for the entire community via the Social Club website. From there they can download, play, rate and share your Job at any time. Keep an eye on their feedback in the comments section for potential updates later on. Feel free to discuss your ideas or tips with the rest of the Social Club community in the comments below (but as always, please resist the urge to spam repeated links to your Creations). Best of luck with becoming a maestro of the Deathmatch & Race Creator and we hope that these tips help you perfect any existing or new Jobs you may be cooking up.

GTA Online Rockstar Verified Jobs Update: 10 New Additions Today

Today, we’ve got 10 more user-created Jobs officially approved and easily available across both platforms as the fourth installment in our series of Rockstar Verified Jobs. If your Job was not featured today, check out our recent tips and tricks articles which may help you refine your creations and ensure they are as intuitive and fun to play as possible. Also keep an eye out on the Rockstar Newswire for more news about the upcoming expansion to the Creator tool. Here’s a preview of the new Jobs with some detail on how they earned the Rockstar Verified stamp of approval.LSC Great Eight - Created by DrAtomic1While it may look like a simple figure 8 track at first glance, the changes in elevation and tighter hairpins require a steady hand and intense concentration. Running around different levels of the Olympic Freeway this course will challenge all aspects of your driving. A strong octo-theme runs through this race: as DrAtomic1 points out in the description, the track itself is 0.8 miles long, and the maximum number of players is, you guessed it, 8. The map view of LSC Great Eight on the right, and the aerial shot on the left.Dirt Track Derby - Created by N8thokWhile there are hundreds of Jobs arranged around the horse racing track in the Palomino Highlands, we picked out N8thok's effort due to the considered placement of obstacles and pickups around the track that change this from a simple lap race to a white knuckle derby. With 16 players jostling for position, the slightest nudge could force you into the back of a burnt out bus, or off the track entirely. Masters of the art of drifting should be able to nail the curve corners and slingshot their vehicles into the straight sections. Final positions in the race will be decided by inches, the smallest mistake could be fatal.Observe and Race - Created by The_GemteIn this one, 3 quick laps of the circuit leading up to the Observatory have been laid out using a variety of barriers to make for a very fluid and natural race. Overtaking skills will be put to the test as the only straight comes in the form of a narrow tunnel section where race leaders can easily defend against drifters. Corners will be your only option to snatch the lead, so aim for the racing line, brake late and hope for the best!Getting High and Low - created by El_CactusPrecision is the name of the game in this high octane motorbike race along the narrow dirt paths just above Cassidy Creek. Maintaining control of your ride is absolutely essential as overhanging pine bows could take you out at any moment. Go easy on your first run, the corners come thick and fast and the only way to win is to make the fewest mistakes. Anyone reaching the end without spinning off the path and falling into the creek below at least once should be pretty pleased with themselves. Breathtaking views of Blaine County. Getting High and Low(left) and Through The Grapeseed (right).Through The Grapeseed - Created by LoveLikeJazzAs Creator LoveLikeJazz describes it, this is a "lengthy lap race around Grapeseed with lots of long stretches and a few tricky turns. Watch out for those Sandkings, they think they own the road." Also, watch out for the stretch that goes the wrong way up the Senora Freeway, adding an extra element of danger to each lap. Avoid oncoming traffic to gain the advantage over your fellow racers, and keep an eye out for some spectacular crashes.Sandy Shores Circus - Created by datwista111Creator datwista111 modestly describes Sandy Shores Circus as a "simple race", belying the difficulty of the 45 degree turns around Sandy Shores town that will send cars criss-crossing each other all over. There are a few extra features of this race that really make it stand out, including crashing through a fence and into a resident’s garden and a final straight that results in a high speed jump straight into the Alamo Sea… just the thing to cool down screaming hot engines.Senora Desert Hills - Created by: ZardozToast"Enjoy the best switchbacks in Blaine County with this winding off-road race up and down the hills of the Grand Senora Desert." A long and winding race that was selected for the unique way it allows players to drift down several dirt roads on the hills of the Senora Desert. Expert control and vehicle selection is essential in order to avoid drifting off the edge of a hill and down into the rocky valley below.Switchbacks through the undulating terrain in Senora Desert HillsNurburgring - Created by Mr_GrandisThe latest real-world homage to get a verification nod is this impressive take on Germany’s famed Nurburgring. As Mr_grandis describes it is a “very technical and dangerous track with blind corners, bumps and long straight road.” Recreated around Banham Canyon, Tongva Hills, Great Chaparral and Vinewood Hills, we like the way it challenges endurance and driving skill in equal measure.Battle GTA - Created by KS-GTAIn the swamps outside Fort Zancudo KS-GTA, lone member of The Assassins Monks, has set up a pitched battle for 2 teams featuring power weapons and heavy machinery. The key to the success of this Deathmatch is balance: a cluster of incendiary props in the center field provides adequate cover for an infantry battle while powerful weapon pickups such as RPGs provide a fighting chance against aircraft. This is an excellent map for Crews to put their communication and teamwork skills to the test. The scene is set. Battle GTA (left) and Paintball! (right)Paintball! - Created by yoduhh62A flat expanse of sand on Del Perro Beach is transformed into a dynamic and challenging Speedball-style arena. With skillfully placed props like sandbags, construction fences, wrecked vehicles and tires, this Deathmatch forces players to dart between cover and expose themselves to gunfire when dashing for powerful weapon pickups. Stealth and timing are key here, and we recommend using teamwork to create distractions while you outflank and outmaneuver your enemies. Previously:Rockstar Verified GTA Online Jobs, Including the #CreatorWeekend SelectionsThe First Rockstar Verified GTA Online Jobs10 New Rockstar Verified Jobs Added to GTA Online

In this week's pictorial, we shine a light on some very talented artists out there that have been publishing inspired illustrations based on the characters, world and story of Grand Theft Auto V as well as a trip back to Liberty City courtesy of the videogame photographers of Dead End Thrills. There’s also some impressive nail art, an unbelievable GTAIII x Undead Nightmare half-sleeve we found, and more. As always, if you happen upon (or make) any cool GTA or Rockstar-related creations, make sure to send them our way via Mouthoff and remember to follow us at instagram.com/rockstargames for all our latest official pics. The Business Update, the latest content addition to the world of Grand Theft Auto Online, is now available to download from PSN and Xbox Live. This update adds three new blazing fast cars to the Legendary Motorsport roster, the Albany Alpha, Dinka Jester and Grotti Turismo R. And for those who subscribe to the idea that "if you've got it, flaunt it", there are also new vehicle horn and wheel-smoke options available at LS Customs to give these new rides some additional flair. For those who prefer to navigate Southern San Andreas by air, hit up Elitas in-game to order the new Vestra luxury jet. There are also two new high-powered weapons available at Ammu-Nation, the Heavy Pistol and Special Carbine automatic rifle - plus a new ensemble of business shirts, suits, vests, skirts, hats and other high end attire.  Today we've also added 14 new Jobs to GTA Online, many of which are inspired by the new additions from The Business Update. There are four new Land Races designed specifically for the Sports and Super class cars. You can take the new Vestra airplane on a tour of the Los Santos skies in any of four new Air Races.  Additionally, a pair of new Vehicle Deathmatches feature the Buzzard and the Rhino Tank, plus a new Last Team Standing in Little Seoul, a 2 team Capture at Los Santos City Hall and a new Survival around the Maze Bank Tower. Below is a link to each of the new Jobs on Social Club: Air Race: Burn Your Bridges II | First Class | Jet-setting | Tight SqueezeCapture: Contend: Townhall TrinityLand Race: Business Trip | The City Commute | The First Corporation | Wiwang ParkLast Team Standing: Little SeoulSurvival: Maze BankTeam Deathmatch: Legal EagleVehicle Deathmatch: Corporate Shell-out | Vulture Capital And make sure to join us this weekend for the Business Weekend Social Club Online Event, featuring exclusive RP and GTA$ bonuses, a new Snapmatic competition and more. Stay tuned for more details later this week.  This week's update to GTA Online also includes a host of additional updates and fixes, including the ability to disable Slipstreaming in Races, the addition of Barber Shop and Tattoo Parlour locations to the Quick GPS and a number of other exploit and stability fixes. For the full list, check out the corresponding article on the Rockstar Support page. To acquire today's free update, fire up your online-connected PS3 or Xbox 360 and load up GTAV, and you'll be prompted to download the automatic update (Xbox 360 players will also be required to download an additional compatibility pack). From there, head to the in-game store from the pause menu to access and download the Business Update.  The new vehicles and weapons in The Business Update are also available in GTAV Story Mode. You can access all three cars from Michael, Franklin or Trevor's garage properties and the weapons will be deposited into all three characters' inventory with two full ammo-clips.
